The best nightlife in Malta in 2020
An essential guide to the best nightlife in Malta
The nightlife in Malta is a decadent mix of nationalities . Looking to party the night away at some of the best clubs and bars in the Mediterranean. It is easy to get overwhelmed or walk into tourist traps. That would have you spending money without receiving the full island life experience.
My name is Luca and I am the founder of Malta Pub Crawl. I’m very active in the local community and have decided to blog about my favourite spots to drink some good drinks in good company with a cool atmosphere.
less known places to visit in Malta
First on the list is the magnificent MeLounge (BAE)
- Melounge is a Terrace on the Spinola Waterfront with unobstructed rooftop views of the pretty little bay. It’s a gem hidden in the madness and I often enjoy drinking white wine with scrumptious Paella on a lazy Sunday afternoon, as I write this blog. Melounge is often buzzing on a thursday evening where some super friendly people host a ‘Make Friends & Speak English’ event.
Melounge is a great place to hang out and get tipsy with some friends before heading out to the clubs in Paceville. It’s a stone’s throw away from the party capital.
Party at the best nightclubs in Malta
2. Hole in the Wall is located in sliema and is one of my favourite little bars to hang out with some friends, play some cards and generally chill out after a busy day. Its not so much the nightlife spot but is a great spot for a date night, game night and is a very friendly and open space to meet new people. Popular with expats and locals. Hole in the wall gives me the How I Met Your Mother (TV show) impression that Maclarens pub is known for.
So far we’ve picked 2 cool bars/lounges that are perfect for socialising. However this being a pub crawl blog its important to show you some really popping bars that will have you dancing the night away.
Paceville in St Julian’s is one the top things to do in Malta
3. The Nordic Bar. YES this is the spot for a funky atmosphere, crazy night, fun and exciting experiences. Even a famous Roulette wheel that you can spin for 5e and win fantastic prizes; from a bottle of vodka to pitchers. Sadly you might end up with a bottle of water. The cool bar tenders normally throw in some shots to make your expense worth your money (not guaranteed) The Nordic bar is located right on the party street. Where you’ll find a huge number of clubs that are pumping all night long till late. 4-5am. It’s very easy to get lost in the madness so take care with the clubs.
I’d recommend taking care when visiting the party capital both for yourself and your friends. I’ve received many many messages of lost wallets, maxed out credit cards and no recollection of what happened. This is apart of the risk that Paceville entails. It shouldn’t stop the seasoned party animal from having the best nightlife experience of their life. It is worth thinking twice when venturing through the most popular clubs in Malta.
The nightlife experts will show you the way.
4. The Truth Club is one of the biggest sensations to hit the Paceville clubbing scene over the past few years. The founder is an interesting entrepreneur with a clear vision on what the party experience is all about. This venue has a focus on quality and atmosphere as the focal point of its creation. Located just outside the crazy party street, this club is popular with locals who organize exciting events on weekend nights. You’ll find a different theme on each night of the week. Some nights organising Salsa nights and others throwing pumping techno tunes. The sound system in this place is one the best in the area. The bar staff are a well organised machine. The Truth Club is an interesting spot. Thanks to its convenient location. It is definitely worth checking out during your stay in Malta.
